Portfolio 1

In some cases our work isn't as straight forward as removing the existing roofline system and simply replacing it in new uPVC, we often come across properties that have an "open eaves" design, by this we mean that the roof has no fascia or soffit just a rainwater system fixed directly to the rafter feet thus leaving the eaves section of the roof open to the elements.

On this particular property in Asford (Kent), we came across exactly this issue, the customer wanted a uPVC roofline system installed and of course SDL were the company that gave him the confidence that it can be done.

The first thing that had to be done was to create a timber frame work on which to fix the fascia and soffit, this process is known as "framing out", bearing in mind the weight loadings that need to be considered when the gutters are full with ice or snow it couldn't be any old timber work, we have to ensure that what we are installing is of the highest standard.

Once this is complete we then begin the works of installing the roofline system which  went completely to schedule due to the excellent preparation that proceeded before.

This shows that SDL are not just the average roofline installation outfit, we are capable of much, much more and as you can see from the photos our emphasis is always on giving your house the quality finish it deserves.
